Hey guys, it's Holly! Welcome back to my channel :)

This summer I took part in Disney's Cultural Exchange Program! I was there for 2 and a half months and decided to vlog my journey for anyone else who is thinking of doing the program :)

This is my fourteenth video in the: Disney Cultural Exchange Program Series and my third staycation! Join me as I show you what it's like to stay at Disney's Polynesian Resort!

Upon arriving at the resort I bumped into Goofy and Pluto and managed to grab a photo with them before heading to reception and checking in. Check in went smoothly and I headed straight to my room. On the way to my room I started to get a bad feeling because I could see and hear lots of construction.

Unfortunately, my room was right in the middle of the construction site. I felt so upset as the website mentioned construction was going on, but said "you may hear or see construction". I didn't specify that you might see it or hear it outside of your room which I thought would have been good to know before booking. I quickly went back down to reception to try and rectify the issue as this was my dream staycation and I was spending a lot of money. Unfortunately, after an hour of trying to sort out the issue, the only options were to move to another room which still had construction outside but Disney would knock off $100 as a gesture of goodwill. Or I would have to pay an extra $100+ to move to a room where there was no construction. As this was a dream staycation, I ended up paying the extra money to have a nicer view. I am disappointed with the outcome from Disney and feel like more could have been done but the cast member who was helping did to everything in his power to make things better but wasn't able to.

After settling into my new room which had a fireworks view, I headed straight to the pool to try and relax. I then headed to Trader Sam's Grog Grotto for a couple of drinks. It was super fun and would definitely recommend to anyone that is stay at the Poly! I went to Kona Cafe for dinner and had; Sushi, Gyozas and a Pina Colava. The food was delicious and the cast members were so kind.

It was then time to watch Happily Ever After which I was able to watch from my room. It was great view and I'm glad I paid the extra to see it! I then hopped on the monorail and headed over to The Contemporary to take some photos with Mickey and friends.

The next morning I explored the main pool and grabbed some lunch from Captain Cooks which was yummy. It was then time to head home as I had a shift at Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party in the evening.

I really hope you enjoy the video :)
