Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first bilateral trip to Russia since the Ukraine war started has the U.S. worried. Speaking to reporters on Monday, U.S. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed Washington's 'concerns' about India's relationship with Russia. It begs the question, why should the U.S. get upset about India's ties with Russia? Like any other sovereign country, India can make and follow its foreign policy, while maintaining good relations with both the U.S. and Russia. Why, then, is Washington upset?
