Cooler weather and an old town walk during the holidays can do wonderful things for the spirit of the season.

When vintage downtown main streets across the country begin decking the halls, holiday-hungry townsfolk embark on festive outings, ready to soak up the classic roots of a small town, old-fashioned Christmas from days long ago.

Only weeks away from the official start of winter, I decided to get outside and have a look around in the downtown main street area of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Itching for some fresh exploration, this would be a good opportunity to get outside, take in some views, and pierce through some Carolina cool air to gain some valuable perspective and visuals.

With an eventful next couple of weeks fast approaching,
I wanted to get a headstart on some of our upcoming excursions, by taking a few peeks at some of the Christmas decorations found in the storefronts here. I’d also be on the lookout for any interesting inner-city history or findings that stood out to me.

Come along on a holiday walk with me to explore an old upstate South Carolina town located roughly 30 miles South of Charlotte, North Carolina.
