This is a special recipe for yogurt pie, made with semolina, brandy and lemon juice. You will definately love it!

🥣 RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

For the Syrup
750 ml water
1 kg of sugar
Juice of 1/2 lemon

For the cake
5 egg whites
A little salt
650 g of yogurt
650 g sugar
5 egg yolks
650 g coarse semolina
350 g whitened almonds
Zest 1 lemon
Two vanilla
1 teaspoon soda
50 ml of brandy
Butter for oiling the pan

METHOD

We start with the syrup. Take a saucepan and boil the sugar with water for about 5 minutes and then add the lemon juice.

Continue with the cake and in a bowl beat the egg whites together with a little salt until they become a meringue. Work the yogurt with the sugar, add the egg yolks one by one and continue working until the sugar has melted. Then add the semolina, the ground almonds, the lemon zest, the vanilla and mix. Finally, dissolve the soda in the brandy and incorporate them into the mixture.

Then, butter a baking tray (36 cm) or cover it with non-stick paper. Pour in the mixture, shake it to flatten and bake at 170 degrees Celsius until golden brown.

Syrup the hot dessert with lukewarm syrup.

TIP: Make a few holes with a needle to absorb the syrup, cover it and leave it for a few hours.

Then cut into pieces and serve.
