My name is “Wingit” and I am attempting an Appalachian Trail 2024 Thru Hike - without much of a plan, in fact, I am Winging it along the way. Here is another day I am grateful to share with everyone.

I did a Southbound Slack Pack from Thunder Ridge Lookout back to Middle Creek Campground and then we got shuttled back up to Thunder Ridge and hiked north for a mile or so. Finished the day around 17 miles today.

Was great hiking south and seeing everyone along the way. Pathfinder, McTwistyflop, Papa Smurf 2 (there’s 2 of them out here) and others. I love the Virginia Views and being a Nomad. Amazing weather lately. Perfect hiking conditions. I am having trouble getting videos uploaded and out. But everything else is working out smashingly.
