The Nitootem (friend in Michif) Youth Gathering immerses participants in Indigenous language and cultural learning opportunities, where all youth can engage in traditional language games, learn about the histories, and enjoy traditional Indigenous foods. This gathering gives the opportunity to share in cultural practices and allow a greater understanding and appreciation for Indigenous heritage and languages while promoting the pride and beauty they hold.

Held at the Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site of Canada, the youth had plenty of room to run around, engage in cultural practices, and build new relationships.
