I recently went on a trip to Thailand and I really wanted to share the footage I shot there in some shape or form. I was torn between showing just the routine footage but I wanted to include the scenery shots that I got while I was there. I realize that having both footage on the screen tends to be distracting but considering the routine was extremely difficult to pull of successfully I didn't want to just hide it under a layer of video so double the happiness for the viewers!

Duke Dumont's "I Got U" is a really great song and the music video was also shot in Thailand so it made sense to use this song for this routine. Chris Brown's acapella worked pretty well. I had to pitch the vocals up a few notches it would match keys. I used a similar technique to the one I used for my Stay the Night routine where I took short chirps from the vocal, slapped on some reverb/delay to make a trail so I could create brand new melodies. The goal is to mashup the songs in such a way that one would think they were a brand new song together.
