Sandcastles is an art project building real sandcastles in all sorts of locations. It highlights the futility of imperialism...a castle built of sand. Britain ruled over the largest empire ever built but today, is in decline, as they all decline. The urge to build castles fuels is a common childhood activity which becomes an adult aspiration and cultural activity through colonialism.
