Alessandro Baticci had his first flute lesson at the age of 6.
In 2002 he pursued his study in flute at the Conservatory 'G.Verdi' in Milan under Prof. Rocco Abate and started 2007 to study composition in the same institution under Prof. Giuseppe Giuliano.
He is active as a composer and electroacoustic performer as well as a flutist, performing mainly the contemporary repertoire.
He played in various festival and venues such as 'Suono&Immagine' in Milan, 'Compositiori a Confronto' in Reggio Emilia, 'Rassegna Contemporanea' in Rome, Rondò 2011 'Palazzina Liberty' and Rondó 2014 in Milan, Kyoto International Music Student Festival, Wiener Festwochen, Wiener Konzerthaus, Wiener Musikverein, ODEON-Musik, Cercle Konzertreihe, performing with Divertimento Ensemble, Klangforum Wien, Duo Souffle, Mobilis Quartet, Barbara Moser and others.

2013 he won the 2nd prize at the Ernst Krenek composition competition for his work “Night-Thoughts” for string orchestra and live electronics.
2014 he won the 6th prize at the international flute competition in Krakow.
He won various prizes at the international competition 'Jugend Musiziert’ ('Europa-Prize' -Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, 'Sonderpreis der Deutschen Musikverleger-Verbandes, Sonderpreis der Stadt Erlangen)
His work 'Season of the Livings' op.393 for Flute and electronics is published by Universal Edition. Alessandro Baticci is member of ÖGZM (austrian society for contemporary music).

Various masterclasses in flute with Ransom Wilson, Jean Claude Gerard, Eva Furrer, Carine Levine and Kathinka Pasveer and in composition with B.Ferneyhough,
Y. Kasparov, V. Baltakas, I. Mundry and others.
As a performer he worked with composers such as B.Furrer, S. Sciarrino, T. Murail and B. Ferheyhough.

He currently studies electroacoustic composition (under Prof. Karlheinz Essl) and flute (under Prof B. Gisler-Haase) at the University for Music and performing Arts in Vienna and composition (under Prof. B.Furrer) at the University of the Arts in Graz. He is member of The Black Page Orchestra.
