In this video I show you how to make a simple king size platform bed frame. This is a great starting point for those who want a simple to build yet stylish looking platform bed frame. This bed frame does not require much skill to build. You can actually have big box stores make the cuts for you. If you do not want to build the frame with the metal legs you can substitute with 4x4 legs.

Materials to buy:
7: 2x6's by 8 foot long.
5 to 15 : 2x4's 93" long.
18 : 1/2" Floor Flange.
9: 1/2" by 8" pipe nipples.
Box 1-1/4" Screws
Box 2" Screws
Box 3" Screws

Board Cuts:
2 2x6's @ 80.5" Sides
2 2x6's @ 79.5" Head/Foot
3 2x6's @ 83.5" Runners
5 to 15 2x4's @ 76.25" Slats

Cuts for a twin bed:
2@ 74.5" sides
2@ 42.5" head/foot
2@ 77.5" runners
8 to 15 @ 38.25" slats

The board cuts for a Full Size Bed are:
2 @ 74.5" for Sides
2 @ 57.5" for Head and Foot
2 @ 77.5" for two runners
5 to 15 @ 54.25 slats

The board cuts for a Cali King Size Bed are:
2 @ 84.5" for Sides
2 @ 75.5" for Head and Foot
3 @ 87.5" for three runners
15 @ 72.25 for slats
