Massive strikes hit Beirut's southern suburbs on Saturday night. The strikes come after days of Israeli strikes on Beirut, which is considered a stronghold for Hezbollah. The week's earlier bombings killed Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and possibly his potential successor. This comes as the world recognizes one year of war in the region on Monday, October 7th.

Stateside, the 2024 presidential campaign trail continues to be active. Former President Donald Trump visited Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of the first attempted assassination against Trump. One man, Corey Comperatore, died shielding his family from gunfire.
