Could be used to power a homemade lathe, homemade mill, drill press, or homemade belt sander's motor. Simple to construct and is cheaper than purchasing an off-the-shelf motor controller. Works great! Perfect for controlling and bench testing 48 volt DC motors. Input is 110 volt AC input and outputs 48 volts DC with integrated pulse width modulation speed controller. Made from salvaged landscape lighting transformer boxes. Each transformer steps down from 110v AC to 12v AC wired in series. Simple to construct with a few transformers, two 10000uF capacitors, DC motor control assembly and one KBPC5010 bride rectifier. Optional amp/volt/watt meter was added but not necessary. This power supply was originally designed for testing and controlling 48 volt DC motors I have, such as powering my homemade bandsaw.
