In this video I show you how to remove the track adjuster / tensioner cylinders and rebuild them with new seals, o-rings and grease. I was able to do this without breaking /separating the track sections. This work was performed on a Cat D4D model 84J. This would apply to several models of Caterpillar D4D's possibly including:
