There hasn't been a college football game since 2014, when EA discontinued the franchise after a lengthy legal battle. But what exactly happened that led to the downfall of the franchise? Watch the video to find out.
Nearly a decade later, the game is finally making its return. This time, without the NCAA logo. EA sports is instead working exclusively with the collegiate licensing company. That means the game will include hundreds of schools from across the country just like past iterations. With NIL deals being approved for student athletes, EA may now work directly with the athletes to compensate them for use of their image but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
