In our program, high school debaters have the opportunity to coach middle school debate students as an assistant coach. This helps high schoolers build leadership skills and builds a stronger pipeline between middle school debate teams and high school debate. Lily St. Dennis, who serves as a middle school assistant coach, described why this experience is so special.
