LIVESTREAM | #BETADISINI ✨
Museum Maluku presents the live stream broadcast BETA DISINI. On 21 March 2021 it has been exactly 70 years ago that the first ships with large groups of Moluccan families arrived in the Netherlands. With the broadcast, the museum aims to broaden and improve collective knowledge about history and the present. All live parts are linked to themes such as education, innovation, internationalisation and community building. MHM uses the hashtag #BETADISINI to shed light on all Moluccans who, after arriving in the Netherlands, reshaped their lives and the generations that followed - and thanks everyone who helped make this broadcast possible.

🎤 BETA DISINI is hosted by Jeftha Pattikawa (Lost Tires) and Rocky Hehakaija (Favela Street). Seated at the table include Jazzy Taihuttu (teacher and assistant director of the film De Oost), Milko Hitijahubessy (activist and columnist), Tamara Soukotta (PhD researcher at The International Institute of Social Studies ISS of Erasmus University and lecturer at the University Leiden) and Joaniek Vreeswijk (historian). State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) Paul Blokhuis makes a contribution by means of a video message. The musical contribution is provided by, among others, Safa Liron, Rafael Sinay, Kick Woudstra, Giorgio Sitanala.
