Lionel Messi showcased his brilliance once again for Inter Miami, leading his team to a commanding 4-1 victory over the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The Argentine maestro netted two goals, adding to his league-leading tally of nine goals in just seven MLS appearances this season. In addition to his scoring prowess, Messi contributed his seventh assist of the campaign, setting up former Barcelona teammate Luis Suárez for Miami's fourth goal in the 88th minute.

Suárez's clinical strike came moments after Benjamin Cremaschi found the net for Miami's third goal. The energetic display from the young United States international followed a close-range save that denied Messi a hat trick.

Reflecting on the match, Miami head coach Gerardo "Tata" Martino acknowledged the allure Messi brings to every stadium but emphasized the team's focus on securing victories. "People in every stadium come to see and support Leo Messi, but after they want their team to win," Martino remarked at a post-match news conference. "We are motivated by the atmosphere each city provides, but we know it incentivizes the rivals, as well. And we try to prepare for that."

Martino highlighted the team's ability to handle the heightened anticipation surrounding their matches, noting it as a valuable lesson from the previous season.
