In Japan, the Sharp X68000 got a version of SF2 Champion Edition. Capcom used the X68000 as a workstation for developing CPS-1 arcade games. So this should be a good port, right? It surely is. Not only does it play like the arcade, but it looks even more like it than the 16-bit console versions. In fact it's about perfect like many other X68000 arcade ports. It even keeps the flaming drum bonus stage. If you play on real X68000 hardware, there is an adapter that allows you to plug in a 6-button SFC or MD controller. When using one of those, go in the game's option menu and set it before playing. No console did SF2 CE this well until the 32-bit systems (PlayStation and Sega Saturn).

SF2 CE for X68000 is a 4 floppy disk game.

The regular 1CC credit roll (at least one round lost) has the background characters frozen... but the arcade SF2CE is like this too.
