The mosque controversy in Sanjauli, Shimla has created a political and social stir. Local people and Hindu organizations demanded the demolition of the illegal mosque structure, leading to a massive demonstration on September 11. The mosque committee itself sought permission to demolish the illegal structure on September 12.In the second hearing on October 5, approval was given to demolish three floors, while the local people are trying to become a party in the case. The mosque committee says that their structure is legal and has been recognized since 1907.

शिमला के संजौली में मस्जिद विवाद ने राजनीतिक और सामाजिक हलचल मचा दी है। स्थानीय लोगों और हिंदू संगठनों ने अवैध मस्जिद के ढांचे को गिराने की मांग की, जिसके बाद 11 सितंबर को बड़ा प्रदर्शन हुआ। मस्जिद कमेटी ने 12 सितंबर को स्वयं अवैध ढांचे को गिराने की अनुमति मांगी। 5 अक्टूबर को दूसरी सुनवाई में तीन मंजिलों को गिराने की मंजूरी दी गई, जबकि स्थानीय लोग इस मामले में पार्टी बनने के प्रयास में हैं। मस्जिद कमेटी का कहना है कि उनका ढांचा वैध है और इसे 1907 से मान्यता प्राप्त है।
