En la mitología griega, Euterpe (en griego Ευτέρπη, "La muy placentera", "La de agradable genio" o "La de buen ánimo") es la Musa de la música.
Como las demás Musas era hija de Mnemósine y de Zeus. Por lo general se la representa coronada de flores y llevando entre sus manos el doble-flautín. En otras ocasiones se la representa con otros instrumentos de música: violines, GUITARRAS, tambor, etcétera. A finales de la época clásica se la denominaba musa de la poesía lírica.

El mural fue realizado en la ESCUELA NACIONAL DE MÚSICA ahora FACULTAD DE MÚSICA de la UNAM.
El tema representado es una alegoría que hace referencia al arte de la música.
El mural tiene unas dimensiones aproximadas de 3 mts x 10 mts.

In Greek mythology, Euterpe (Greek Ευτέρπη "Very pleasant", "The nice genius" or the "good mood") is the Muse of Music.
Like other Muses was the daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne. Usually it represents crowned with flowers and carrying in his hands the double-piccolo. At other times it is represented with other musical instruments: violins, guitars, drums, and so on. At the end of the classical period it was called muse of lyric poetry.

The mural was made in the National School of Music MUSIC FACULTY now UNAM.
The theme represented is an allegory that refers to the art of music.
The mural has dimensions of approximately 3 meters x 10 meters.
