The beauty of nature!!! Here is a perfect example of a successful storm chase even though no definite tornado was encountered. I tracked a very photogenic tornado-warned supercell from near Brownfield through Lubbock, Texas on May 17th. This storm had beautiful structure, funnels, and mammatus clouds with a complex interplay of light and cloud as the sun set. The short video ( 4 1/2 minutes) includes a time-lapse showing the rotating storm set to music. Best seen on full screen. There are some suspicious swirls under the base, but I couldn't confirm a tornado. The HD video is a compilation of a Canon HV20, Sony Z1, GoPro7 and Samsung cell phone.
