The 6th Company (Army) of the Guard Battalion under the leadership of its company commander, Major Lipinski, completed a joint, free-running exercise with the Austrian Federal Army in Ingering II for about 3 weeks in June 2024. The exercise was embedded in a larger maneuver context called "Protective Shield 2024". Ingering II is located in the Alps northwest of Graz. The video shows the final exercise, in which the Guard Battalion is to defend its area against the attacking Academic Battalion of the Theresian Military Academy. The Academic Battalion consists of the future officers of the Federal Army. The Guard Battalion simulates military enemy forces working with civilian separatists (represented by the Austrian Guard - not shown in the video). A common, asymmetric scenario of current conflicts. It will be a very long day, starting before 4 a.m. and only ending with the evaluation around 6 p.m. Some marks of the action are marked with subtitles. This means

White = general information
Blue = attacker: Federal Army Academic Battalion
Red = defender: Federal Army Guard Battalion (red armbands, identification of enemy forces)
