This is the DIY restoration of an over 70 year old cast iron skillet thrift store find. It started out as a cast iron carbon caked crusty rust skillet needing care and cleaning and turned into a beautiful usable cast iron skillet restoration to be proud of after seasoning and refurbishing using an electrolysis tank and burning. Great project! It was a total surprise and I was able to date the markings on the cast iron to determine it was a Wagner Ware cast iron skillet manufactured in Sydney, Ohio between 1935-1959.
