This generator was given me grief in that the old hard 'green' drive bands commonly used in this hobby would always slip. Anyway, not to be beaten, I got hold of some 2mm rubber O-Ring cord. So I made a new drive band using this material and added a twist in the drive band to create more contact area between pulley and band. Success.
