This is a tribute to my favorite Dragon Ball character of all time. In a world where Goku and the Z-Fighters have long since passed, Gohan was the only symbol of hope left in it before Trunks took the helm. Gohan had to fight the Androids for thirteen hellish years nonstop. He was always fighting. This is the version of him I immediately think of whenever I hear that name (Since he was the original).

He finally became a true warrior, but under traumatic circumstances. This version hits closest to home since there were no Dragon Balls in that world (Due to Piccolo's death). Meaning his was permanent. Trunks is also a tragic character. What makes him tragic is the fact that he loses everyone.

Even his best friend/brother/master. He's still a badass above all for never giving up, though. Gohan remained as the last member of Bardock/Goku's bloodline and longest surviving Z-Fighter until his inevitable demise.

"Sorry about that, Trunks. But I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if anything happened to you. This is my battle for now, little brother. You aren't quite ready yet. I can feel them all crying down there, Trunks... That's why I have to go! I know you'll understand someday. See you later, kid."

"Your son is the only one who manages to get away. It's Gohan who ends up teaching me the ways of the warrior. How to fight like a Saiyan... and how to die like one..."
