Touring some amazing spots in Oaxaca, Mexico. We headed out early in the AM to beat the heat and to have enough time to see everything. First, we had breakfast in a market in the town of Tlacolula. Our first spot was HIERVE EL AGUA (The water boils) which consists of a huge rock waterfall and natural pools with high mineral content, they are known to have healing qualities. The canals there are part of an irrigation system which was created more than 2,500 years ago. After we went to see the famous Árbol del Tule: A 2,000+ year old tree known to have the widest trunk in the world! With a good imagination, you can see images of animals and more in the tree's trunk. Local schoolchildren give tourists a tour of the tree and point out shapes of creatures on the trunk. It was such an awesome experience!
