How we built this epic DIY wedding gift: a custom shot ski made from solid walnut with removable shot glasses. For style points, we added the name of our pals getting married, and their anniversary date.

We went all out for this build shaping the walnut, adding multiple coats of finish, and using #10 gold screws as an accent. But remember there’s lots you can do to customize this build to make it just right for your needs and budget. Even sticking a few Instant Shotski brackets on a pine board would make a great wedding guestbook for folks to sign—and it would only take about 2 minutes to make.
