Hey guys and Welcome back to the workshop! This week, we've got two epic bits of content rolled into one. First up, Q is constructing billets, as the first part of his compound Megabuild. Then, our script writer G fell down a rabbit hole and explored the origins of 40k and it's art style.


The compound itself will be constructed over the next two weeks, with a gnarly power planet still in production. When brought together, this will be enough scenery to fill a 6x4 battleboard and all came together in four weeks, so just think about what you could do yourself!


On the deep dive end, we tasked our script writer with discovering just where that sweet 40k aesthetic came from. beginning with 2000Ad, then into early sci-fi cinematography, right through to action packed 80's action flicks until we get to the huge cultural changes that shook the 21st century.
It took alot to the define the setting we all love.
