Synopsis:
In a strict, patriarchal household, young Qiaoqiao’s life takes a heartbreaking turn when her father banishes her beloved dog, Qiqi, after her mother becomes pregnant. Devastated, Qiaoqiao runs away but soon returns
home with a stray dog she rescues from a dog peddler, secretly hoping to regain some control over her life.

However, her father discovers the dog, leading to a fierce confrontation and its removal. Despite her repeated acts of defiance, Qiaoqiao’s attempts to assert herself are crushed by her father’s authority. Realizing she
cannot escape her situation; she ultimately resigns herself to the harsh reality of her family’s dynamics.
