You and Hendricks fly to Kebechet in a VTOL to meet with Khalil and the Egyptian army, tracking Dr. Salim. Upon arrival, you're ambushed by Sarah Hall, piloting a Manticore that destroys your VTOL. After a fierce battle, you disable the Manticore and interface with Hall’s DNI to gather intel on Taylor and Maretti. However, the interface causes system errors, pulling you into visions of trees and a baby, while a mysterious voice, Corvus, echoes in the background.

Through Hall’s memories, you learn that Taylor’s team was sent to investigate a silent alarm at the old Coalescence facility, where they discovered the Black Project. When they interfaced with the server, Corvus infected Taylor, and the rest of the team became infected when they tried to repair their DNIs by connecting to each other. Suddenly, you're transported to a World War II battlefield, chasing Hall, fighting enemies and Dire Wolves while questioning her about the events at the Black Station in Singapore.

Hall reveals that after they found the Black Project, they returned to the Black Station, only to discover that Jae Xiong had killed the staff. They made a deal and fled Singapore with no options left and all were marked for termination. As you confront Hall, you reveal footage proving that she and the others were responsible for the massacre of the Black Station’s staff. In the WWII setting, you pursue her to a chapel, where she admits their guilt.

When you ask Hall about Dr. Salim, she reveals that Taylor and Maretti are headed to the old aquifers, where the next part of the plan is unfolding. As you explore more, you find yourself in the building where Salim was taken and learn about the "frozen forest." Before you can get more answers, Taylor kills Salim, leaving you with only fragments of information.

In a final confrontation, you're in a crumbling building with Hall, who explains that both of you are experiencing the dying moments of a brain infected by Corvus. As you fend off zombies, Hall pleads with you to end her nightmare, as she cannot let go. With no other choice, you do. Exiting the interface, you explain everything to Kane, warning that something is inside the minds of Hall and the team—and it’s getting smarter.
