WSP is the leader in underground storage (UGS). We have worked on caverns all over the world for energy storage. UGS is a niche field of geology and geological engineering that develop subsurface geologic structures to contain gases and liquids.
Energy production, storage, and consumption are geographically dependent and geologically constrained. By utilizing salt caverns within domes and beds, depleted oil and gas reservoirs, and saline aquifers, we can store energy and feedstocks close to the end user while maintaining an adequate supply for continuous or emergency use.
This webinar focuses on salt cavern development, compressed air energy storage and the Huntorf case study.
Energy professionals and infrastructure developers interested in storing energy are encouraged to attend this talk.
