I think it's very understandable that the design of the Dijeh is far from Gundam because Amuro might lose his position as the main character if he boards a Gundam-type MS. I guess it's difficult to decide how to treat a character in a work where the main character from the previous work appears. In that sense, Gundam ZZ was probably the right choice for not having Amuro and Char appear.
