The first video I've uploaded in a while.
Warszawianka 1831 roku (The Warsawian of 1831) is a Polish patriotic song written by Casimir François Delavigne with music by Karol Kurpiński. The song was written in support of the November Uprising of 1830–1831. Delavigne was fascinated and inspired by the news of the uprising making its way to Paris and wrote the words, which were translated into Polish by the historian, journalist, and poet Karol Sienkiewicz. The poem by Sienkiewicz is the one commonly sung today in Poland, and is the version you'll hear in the video.
