Impromptu lyrics by Albert Diner to the theme music of the 1960 film THE MISFITS.

The music in this film is by Alex North.

Await my love,
Please don't despair,
You are not alone
I'm here with you

Never ever leave me now
Never ever doubt my love,
Never ever say goodbye,
Never ever please say hello
I beg of you,
Come back to me
Now

Throughout this film you notice tense scenes between Roslyn and
Guido, the Marilyn Monroe and Eli Wallach character. This tension explodes in the capturing of the mustangs scene :

"Killers! Murderers! You liars! All of you liars! You're only happy when you can see something die! Why don't you kill yourself to be happy! You and your God's country! Freedom! I am not kidding you, you're three sweet damned men!"

"She's crazy. They're all crazy. You try not to believe that because you need them. She's crazy! You struggle, you build, you try, you turn yourself inside out for them. But it's never enough. So they put the spurs to you. I know, I've got the marks. I know this racket, I just forgot what I knew for a little while."

Roslyn: " A reason? You a sensitive fellow, so sad for his wife. Crying about the bombs you dropped and the people you killed.
You have to get something to be human? You never felt anything for anybody in your life. All you know is the sad words. You could blow up the world and all you'd feel is sorry for yourself."

Guido: "You want me to stop it? "
Roslyn: " You would ? "
Guido: " You're through with Gay now right?
Well tell me he doesn't know what you're all about.
He'll never know.
Tell me Roslyn I been waitin'
Come back with me. Give me a week.
two weeks. Let me show you what I am.
Tell me Roslyn.
Give me a reason and Ill stop it.
There'll be hell to pay
but give me a reason and I'll do it ."

The screenplay by plawright Arthur Miller.
