It’s amazing to think that only 70,000 years ago, human beings were just an animal species compatible with that of Chimpanzees or Lions, even Dung Beetles or the now endangered Fireflies.

Human beings were synonymous with every other species.

Then, in an instant, human beings dominated the entire Earth.

So, what exactly happened?

Often times people will chalk these questions up to the specific abilities of the individuals.

The size of the brain, the varied movement of the body, our faculty for using tools, our capability for making fire etc.

All in an attempt to unravel the mystery and understand our unique physical and mental abilities.

Of course, all of this speculation may be true, but it simply isn’t enough to give a convincing answer.

First of all, Homo Sapiens have been known to have had brains as large as modern-day humans dating as far back as 200,000 years ago, as well as having knowledge of fire-starting dating back to 1.5 million years and having the ability to make and use tools as far back as 3 million years ago.

Let’s consider that the fact that humans have flexible fingers and opposable thumbs, are able to use complex tools and have a much bigger brain than other animals, they still would fair no match for a Lion attack in the wild.

The physical ability of humans in the wilderness is nothing special when you consider the physical presence of other animals.

For example, if you leave a human with a chimpanzee in the wild and see who is able to survive the longest, the results will not be in our favor.

The individual physical capabilities of humans are very vulnerable in the Animal kingdom.

So how is it that human beings evolved to dominate the planet?
