In Five Tribes, you play the role of a traveller venturing into the legendary sultanate of Naqala. You will need help from the five local tribes, the yellow viziers who give points, the elders who help invoke the power of the Djinns, the merchants who give you resources, the builders who give gold and the assassins well, … to take care of some tribe members.

I love 5 Tribes because at the beginning it seems one of these straightforward games, very pretty, entertaining and then half way through it, you realise how complex it can be.

I like the unique mechanism where it’s not a standard worker placement but rather a worker displacement as you start with all the workers on the board and move them throughout the game.
I also like that there are so many paths to win and that games are very different each time.

It is one of those games where as soon as you finish your first game you’ll want to jump into another one.
