In this video, we highlight 3 electric vehicles that start under $30,000. While new cars continue to get more expensive, we've reviewed some that are cheaper than the average new car transaction price of a gasoline-powered car.

This a collection of our reviews of the three EVs that are less than $30,000 (at the time of this video's production). These cars, for the most part, get to that price through the $7,500 federal tax incentive in the United States, which is a cash-on-the-hood rebate now. Additionally, we don't factor in leasing.

In the case of the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV, there are still some new ones to be had but the company has discontinued them for now. The Equinox EV 1LT will be on sale shortly. The base Leaf actually gets to the price without the inventive, but qualifies for the incentive, making it one of the cheapest new cars period.
