Photographing Supernova SN 2023ixf

The bright new supernova lies inside of the stunning spiral galaxy known as Messier 101, or, the Pinwheel Galaxy.

I got lucky and captured this SN2023ixf soon after it appeared in the night sky near the big dipper. This new supernova is the closest to Earth in a decade, and it's visible in the night sky right now.
