Pathradde is a Mangalorean Classic one-pot meal that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch of dinner.The main ingredients for Pathradde include colacasia leaves, rice, coconut, and spices. The colacasia leaves are added to rice batter and steamed. These cubes are then cooked in coconut curry. It is an healthy dish that will comfort as well as keep you full until your next meal.
It is one of my favorite breakfast food. I try to make it when colacasia leaves are in season. This year I grew my own colacasia leaves and was able to use them for this recipe.
Pathradde is also known as Pathrodae (Tulu), Soppina Pathrode (Kannada), and Kesuvina Yele Pathrode (Kannada).
