In this episode, host Janeisha John steps off St. Croix, and travels to Buck Island with the National Parks Service. Buck Island was established as a national monument by Congress in 1961, to preserve what is considered one of the finest marine gardens in the Caribbean. Today, this 176-acre National monument is the top, eco-tourist attraction in the world. Buck Island is known for its pristine beaches and great snorkeling trails. But it is also a nesting site for Sea turtles and brown Pelicans. In addition to the sea and coastal life, the land mass contains native plant species that date back hundreds of years.
