Olga Carmona's strike on the half-hour mark was enough to earn victory for La Roja on their first appearance in a Women's World Cup final.

England's Mary Earps denied Spain the chance of doubling their lead with a stunning penalty save in the second half, but it wasn't to be for the Lionesses.
