On Saturday 23rd March 2024, the Southern Downs Steam Railway ran an Evening Steam Train trip out to Clifton, where upon arrival passengers would enjoy dinner at one of the town's hotels before reboarding the train for the journey back to Warwick.

This was the last passenger run for steam locomotive C17 974, as the lease is due to expire at the end of March.
