In this video we take a look back out how we established a Thyme Carpet from seed. Carpets are to be walked on and so is our Thyme Carpet. In early April the seed was evenly distributed in between the 3" gaps of our blue stone patio with the soil level about 1" lower than the slab. This recess prevents the entire plant from being crushed. The goal is to have the Thyme grow onto the slab and to be walked where it will release its fresh fragrance. When you take sharp scissors to trim the plants in early August the true beauty of this easy to grow plant is revealed.
