I was digging some drainage in my neighbor's field when I discovered the source of the water. I dug up some old drainage tile that must have been blocked off, as the water started to run like a hose as soon as I broke through it. I can only imagine the work it must have been to hand dig down about two feet and lay these one foot pieces of tile end to end to create drainage over 100 years ago. I think I will stick to digging with my E50 and using Big-O for drainage.
