Mt. Ololokwe a perfect place for hiking junkies!!

It is situated on the Isiolo- Marsabit road on Namunyak Conservancy in Samburu East, some kilometres beyond Archer’s Post where the Wamba/Maralal Road branches off to the left and the Road takes a broad right hand bend. It’s about 340kms from Nairobi, through Nanyuki and Isiolo. It is the sacred mountain of the Samburu and is deemed to be the home of God.

It’s well known as Ol Donyo Sabache by the locals. Ololokwe means ‘wide head’ in Samburu. The distinctive flat-topped shape and high sheer cliff drops of the 2000 m towering over Samburu plains.
