Here is the training from September 24, 2024 featuring 3 of the Senior Sales Managers from Marriott properties in Orlando, FL and with Laura Kreutzer of the Visit Orlando team. Presenters for the training included Chris Kane of the Swan, Swan Reserve and Dolphin Resorts in the Walt Disney World Epcot Resort Area, Sara Garay of the Marriott Village Orlando and Chantelle Paikai of the Orlando World Center Marriott.

This training also featured a special raffle drawing where all three properties gave away a free 2-night stay, including resort fees, to a lucky winner and Laura also gave away a Visit Orlando swag bag to one lucky winner as well! The winners of the stays were Simone Robinson, who won the stay at the Marriott Village Orlando, Shari Kaye, who won the stay at the Orlando World Center Marriott, and Jackie Mathys, who won the stay at her choice at either the Swan or Dolphin resort in the Epcot Resort Area. The winner of the Visit Orlando Swag Bag was Carol Jamieson!

For all agents who are looking to visit the Orlando area and take advantage of some of the amazing perks and benefits which are available to them, there are some cases, such as to access their Disney benefits or Universal Orlando Resort hotel discounts, where they will need to be members of CLIA, the Cruise Line International Association. Registration for CLIA is currently closed at this time but will reopen for 2025 sometime in November. The cost for a yearly membership is normally $129.00 but because Archer Travel Service is a Premier member with CLIA, agents receive a $50.00 discount on the cost of the membership, bringing it down to $79.00 per year. To find out more information about CLIA, agents can go to the Travel Cafe and then search for CLIA under Suppliers and then USA suppliers.

If the winners of the stays, or any other agents, would like to book rooms at Marriott properties around the world at a travel agent discount, which is called a FamTastic rate, they will need to register on Marriott's travel agent portal and complete the FamTastic training initially and then their continuing education requirements each year in addition to holding a valid CLIA card for that year. As mentioned by Laura during the webinar as well, there is also a travel agent training program offered by Visit Orlando which will provide agents a certification as an Orlando expert once completed along with some fantastic benefits to go along with that certification, including FREE admission to some attractions and other theme parks in the area, and discounts and deals in the Orlando area as well.
