Father and son team, Jason and Piet, are well-renowned for their custom billet manufacturing, with their work featuring in some of the fastest cars in South Africa.

But they wanted a toy of their own, and set about building this crazy rear-wheel-drive Toyota Corolla. Sourcing a legendary 1UZ-FE from the Lexus LS400, they wanted the naturally-aspirated look, but a simple engine swap wasn't enough for them.

So they endeavoured to turbocharge the V8, but they certainly didn't want it to be an ordinary set up. And so they hid the turbo somewhere you might not expect, and it's one of the smartest builds we've ever come across.
