A location recce (or location scout) is one of the most important aspects of the pre-production phase of a film. Trying to find the perfect location to film in is an important process. I got to do a location recce with Mark O’Connor (Director), Luke McQuillan (Actor) and Jeff O’Toole (Producer).

Mark O’Connor is the IFTA nominated filmmaker, director and writer behind films such as Between The Canals, (Which was Oscar-Nominated actor Barry Keoghan’s first EVER film role), he then followed this with King Of The Travellers, where he worked with John Connors, which he then went onto work with again in arguably his biggest film, CARDBOARD GANGSTERS! You may also recognise Mark from projects such as Stalker, Darklands, and many more. Mark has solidified himself as being one of Ireland’s greats by working alongside actors such as Barry Keoghan, John Connors, Peter Coonan, Damien Dempsey, and many more.
