Fierce, Resilient and Dedicated are three words that come to mind when you think of Serena williams. The famous and recently retired tennis superstar is a legend in the game. With 23 grand slam titles, 14 grand slam doubles titles and four Olympic medals to her name, the 41 year old American professional tennis player is considered one the greatest athletes of all time.

Serena Williams rose to fame in 1999 after winning the women’s singles title at the US open defeating Martina Hingis in the finals and becoming the second black woman to ever win a major singles after Althea Gibson.The female tennis champion has since been ranked world No. 1 in singles eight times by the Women Tennis Association.
