Reynosa, Mexico's border city in the state of Tamaulipas, is classified as level 4 dangerous by the U.S. government. It is the highest level in the world and tourists are warned to avoid the city at all costs as organized groups are battling for territory and there is constant crossfire.

Before entering the city, I ask myself: Does the city have another face that the media does not show?
What are the people in Reynosa like? How will they react when they see a Japanese tourist? How do they live and what do they do? What are the typical foods? What are their hopes and dreams? Let's find out together.
